Routes to replication
13 February 2012
Catch22 is hosting a seminar on replicating effective practice to prevent young people from offending, to take place in the presence of Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal.
Where
When
Thursday 23 February 2012, 1.00 - 4.00pm
A consortia led by Catch22 has been appointed as the preferred UK partner to deliver the £25 million Big Lottery funded Realising Ambition programme. The seminar is a chance to hear more about the consortia’s plans and contribute to a growing debate about how we build the UK evidence base of what works in supporting young people to fulfil their potential and prevent offending.
Speakers include the writer, researcher and policy analyst David Utting, who will talk about 'what works', the evidence shortfalls that we need to fill and what we can achieve by making better use of evidence. We will also hear from partners with personal experience of both the benefits and challenges of replicating effective practice.
The seminar is designed to be of interest to academics, local government and VCS leaders, policy leads, funders and others with an interest in supporting the wider use of evidence-based approaches.
