Families

Many of the families we work with are affected by substance dependency, mental health, debt, domestic violence or whose children are at risk of entering the care system.

We work with young people and their families to give them ‘whole family’ support when they are struggling to cope, to help resolve the linked and complex issues they are facing. By intensively supporting the entire family we help them to make positive changes in their lifes.

Catch22 family support services include:

Early intervention family support, Chester works with children and young people, together with their families, to help them reach their full potential. 

High Level Family Support, Essex works with families, with children aged 0 to 18, who are in desperate need of extra support, including families who are affected by substance dependency, domestic violence or whose children are at risk of entering the care system.   

Family intervention projects in Colchester and Thurrock work with families where there is a risk of homelessness through eviction and serious issues such as crime, anti-social behaviour, a breakdown in family relationships and poor school attendance.

Community mediation, Ipswich helps resolve community and family disputes across Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk.

Right Time, Right Support

In 2010 we launched the ‘Right Time, Right Support’ report - smarter support for families to keep young people out of care and out of trouble.

The report calls for calls on local authorities to take the lead and protect a portion of the Early Intervention Grant for use in supporting teens and their families.
