Bespoke Services: Wishes and Feelings Work
Short-term intervention to help school staff understand students who may have difficulties communicating their views
Available in Essex and East London
Within one or two sessions, a young person is supported to share and discuss their views, wishes and feelings about an area of their life such as school, home or relationships.
The session(s) is/are recorded and shared in partnership with the young person and with their school at a follow-up session attended by the young person, parent(s) (where appropriate), relevant school staff member and Catch22 practitioner, which is an effective way for school staff to understand young people who struggle to communicate with staff and/or peers.
In their session(s) young people may explore their views around a forthcoming change, such as progression to college, alternative education or employment, or a difficult situation at home, and the follow-up session is useful for staff to learn how best to support the young person through this change.
- £150 per student
