Step22 helps businesses source and train great staff to significantly improve retention and staffing costs. Our mission is to become the no.1 provider of hospitality apprenticeships in the UK.
11.7% of all vacancies in the UK are in hospitality - the second highest sector. By 2029, the hospitality sector could face a total recruitment gap of over 1 million workers unless it is able to replace EU workers with British employees.
There are 800,000 young people out of work in the UK. This is up 5% in the last year. However, less than a quarter (22%) of 16-21-year-olds in the UK say they would consider a career in hospitality.
As much as 90% of the apprenticeship levy is not spent by businesses, with many organisations not understanding what it can be used for. This means they miss out on fully-funded training for new and existing staff.
We focus only on hospitality and are passionate about finding and developing the best candidates, and creating the best possible apprenticeships available in the sector.
We want our apprenticeships to be a badge of pride in the hospitality sector. A percentage of profits from product sales from trade and retail will support wage top ups for 16-18 year-olds on the lowest salaries.
Successful apprenticeships are driven by strong employee and employer engagement. Our course will be developed with a specific focus on meeting their combined needs.
Coffee Jobs Board will be transformed into an automated end-to-end platform using machine learning to improve selection and increase retention as our dataset develops.
We help enterprise organisations with no apprenticeship requirements and large levy bills to redirect their funds in order to create value and meet corporate social responsibility (CSR) requirements.
We believe young people need opportunities to improve their futures. We are passionate that Apprenticeships can give young people the first step on the ‘ladder of opportunity’ and provide a truly viable option to University.
We have a range of traineeships available for you to join. Find out more about what a traineeship could offer.
Led by Catch22’s award winning apprenticeship training team we will base the course around these training schemes, adding others such as a Level 3 Head Barista course that we will create.
Tailored to the employee, we will provide an additional suite of functional training (e.g. literacy and numeracy) and employability training (e.g. softer skills such as self-confidence).
On an ongoing basis we will work with industry experts, such as the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA), to ensure our training is cutting edge and aligned to the needs of industry.
