Last month, we published a report, funded by the Avast Foundation, on how to support young people to thrive online. On the back of that report, we’ve produced a short ‘top tips’ guide for anyone working with young people in an online setting. The research and findings draw on the experiences and insights of young people.
In addition to producing a full guide, informed by the insights of the young people we worked with on this project, we have also produced a short video summary of our top recommendations:
Thanks to funding from the Avast Foundation, we’ve been exploring how to effectively support 16-24 year olds, who have been excluded from mainstream education, to thrive online.This report shares the findings from a six month project which focused on – and was led by – the needs and experiences of young people excluded from mainstream education.
These young people often face multiple and complex social barriers, which make it challenging for them to thrive both in life and online. They are also often overlooked and left out of conversations about online experiences.
