Catch22 include Turnaround, an intensive, full-time cognitive behavioural programme for young people with substance misuse issues, and Catch22 include Caerphilly, full-time alternative education provision for learners in Key Stage 3 and 4.

include Caerphilly

Catch22 include Caerphilly provides full-time, alternative, secondary education for young people aged 13 to 16-years-old who have had difficulties in mainstream school or other educational placements.

We offer courses, known as Bridge Projects, which are designed to provide a safe, steady path for learners towards a successful education. Learners are supported in transition, helping them to progress to a positive destination at the end of year 11.

include Caerphilly has 31 places for Key Stage 4 learners, across four centres within Caerphilly County Borough. Learners have often experienced a range of educational placements before being referred to include Caerphilly.

Learners are also given guidance regarding online child safety and exploitation. Read the latest information from CEOP about keeping children safe online or to report any concerns regarding online safety.

include Turnaround

Catch22 include Turnaround helps learners reject or reduce their drug/alcohol use and make a positive transition back to mainstream education or onto further education, training or employment.

Through a cognitive behavioural approach, we challenge young people’s thinking, attitudes and beliefs. Learners are also supported to access housing and health services, as well as develop self-confidence and a sense of worth.

The intensive programme is delivered over 25 hours per week for 11 weeks, working with up to eight young people at any one time. The focus is on changing the lifestyle of each young person, enabling them to re-engage with, and contribute to, their communities.

We also offer outreach in local schools, aiming to engage young people at risk of substance misuse in preventative activities and provide them with appropriate information.

Catch22 provides young people aged 4-18 with alternative education in order for them to progress and succeed in sustained education or employment. We do this through high quality teaching and learning based on effective relationships that enable the achievement of life skills and meaningful qualifications.
