Suffolk Positive Futures aims to transform young people’s lives and make a significant impact on reducing crime and youth violence in local communities, while promoting positive emotional wellbeing. Staff reach out to young people one by one within their community, at times when they need support the most; staff are known are trusted within the key areas. All sessions are delivered by qualified staff who have completed all relevant checks.
Suffolk Positive Futures is part of Catch22 and is recognised and valued for the work undertaken with young people across Suffolk. Some of these young people experience disadvantage and social instability, who need opportunities for purposeful sports and leisure opportunities.
Over the past 15 years thousands of young people have benefited from the Suffolk Positive Futures project – providing opportunities that they may not otherwise have access to, to help better their life chances.
At Suffolk Positive Futures we are passionate about offering as many young people as possible the chance to play sport regardless of age, gender, ability or background.
Our team of experienced sports coaches deliver a variety of engaging sports sessions across Suffolk to develop technical skills, but more importantly for us, confidence and social skills that develop self-esteem and sense of pride and belonging.
All our sessions are free, there is also the opportunity for your son/daughter to simply turn up and join in – no booking required. We do however record emergency contact details from all the young people who take part in the program – Further info on this can be found on our privacy statement.
