Catch22 include Suffolk is an Ofsted registered independent primary school. It provides full-time, alternative education for young people, most of whom have social, emotional and/or mental health needs (SEMH) or autistic spectrum disorders (ASDs).

Catch22 include Suffolk has 56 places for Key Stage 1 and 2 learners, across four sites in Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Lowestoft. Learners typically attend the school for three terms, before being supported back into mainstream education or further alternative provision.

Curriculum

We offer a full, flexible timetable alongside the national curriculum, with a focus on small group working. This covers Numeracy, Literacy, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Citizenship, and Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHEe).

Learners take part in regular feedback sessions with staff to encourage their personal development and help ensure the best possible transition to a mainstream or alternative setting. The safe environment encourages learners to develop their confidence and self-esteem.

Learners are also given guidance regarding online child safety and exploitation. Read the latest information from CEOP about keeping children safe online or to report any concerns regarding online safety.

Catch-22 Include Primary School (Bury St Edmunds) is a small school  currently accommodating 11 pupils between years 1 and 6. The school offers the full National Curriculum alongside nurture sessions designed to help children with their social and emotional progress. The school provides a full time education starting at 9.30am and ending at 2.30pm, Monday to Friday. The school currently has 3 classes, KS1, Lower KS2 and Upper KS2 and the staff are trained in both behavioural and Special Educational teaching.

As a school we work closely with parents to make sure that the children get the best opportunities possible and parents can be safe in the knowledge that they are involved in all aspects of the child’s learning and progression.

Most of the children we work with have behavioural issues due to many different reasons such as anxiety, low self esteem and confidence or due to learning difficulties such as ASD, Apsergers, ADHD or attachment disorders.

As a temporary provision we aim to work with the children to find either the best permanent educational facility for them or help them to return to mainstream school feeling better about themselves and their education.

Catch22 include School Suffolk is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
