Wigan Floating Support

Support with day-to-day living skills for young people at risk of losing their home

16 to 25-years-old

After an interview, a support worker is allocated to each young person. They produce an individual plan designed around their specific needs and goals. The support worker will meet with the young person in their own home, helping with:

  • setting up and maintaining a home
  • paying bills, managing benefits and budgeting
  • accessing education, training and employment
  • form-filling, applying for grants and funding
  • keeping healthy through cookery and fitness sessions
  • dealing with housing tenancy issues.
