I just wanted to say thank you for helping me this past year or so, because without your support I wouldn’t have had this job and I would still be drinking uncontrollably. You’re the first person I’ve spoken to in all my years of counselling that’s actually helped! So yeah, thank you.

After we receive your information you will be allocated a key worker/support worker who will make contact within 2 days to arrange to meet with you in a safe place where you feel comfortable to talk.
This is where we find out more about you, this is a chance for you to talk about what is happening for you and to also explore how we can help you as well as any other additional services you may need. We will listen to you.
Following the one-to-one we will discuss and make a plan with you to find the best way to support your needs so that you can achieve the goals that you want. This is what we call care plan. We will continue to discuss this with you so we can make sure that we provide the support you need. We will change and adapt your care plan with you as your situation changes.
We offer weekly or bi weekly sessions. Our sessions will help you to understand the risks involved in taking drugs and alcohol, and ways to help keep yourself safe, give you advice, support and the skills you need to help you reduce or stop using substances if you want to and give you the skills and support you need to tackle any other problems you’re facing.
We help support you on leaving our service to access any ongoing support you might need so that you can continue to achieve your goals. This might include other kinds of support you might need, housing, family support or health and wellbeing services. We can help you access other activities such as volunteering opportunities or sports, arts and music.
He believed in me, taught me how to be positive and gave me goals that I was able to meet. I am now completely drug, alcohol and tobacco free and my life is unrecognisable from what it was a year ago.
