Personal Wellbeing Commissioned Rehabilitative Services (Dorset)

Personal Wellbeing Commissioned Rehabilitative Service delivered to Service Users subject to Probation supervision in Dorset. Aimed at supporting effective community integration.

18+ | Dorset

What we do

This is a holistic service designed to address a range of frequently occurring rehabilitative needs all linked to personal wellbeing:

  • Emotional Well-Being
  • Family and Significant Others
  • Lifestyle and Associates
  • Social Inclusion

Services are available for males age 18+ who are either on a Community/Suspended Sentence Order with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement or on Licence/Post-Sentence Supervision following a prison sentence. Each service user referred receives a personal action plan with agreed goals to work towards, relevant to their particular needs.

The service includes Social Inclusion mentoring which begins pre-release, where requested, for those who will come out of prison on Licence.

A range of approaches are used including direct delivery of interventions in one-to-one or group sessions, support and advocacy, and advice and guidance. Interventions are tailored to reflect the complexity of an individual service user’s needs.

A final report is produced to reflect the service user’s progress through their time with the service.

How we do it

We work closely with Probation Service practitioners to ensure services are tailored appropriately to a service user’s needs and that any concerns in relation to risk or safeguarding are quickly acted upon.

We are also able to use our wealth of local knowledge and partnerships to deliver access to specialised services, resources and interventions needed to reduce reoffending.

Catch22 already delivers well established interventions for those at risk from gangs and support for entrenched gang members to move on and out through viable alternatives. We are able to draw on this knowledge and experience in delivering aspects of work around lifestyle and associates and social inclusion.

Support is provided using an individualised approach which focuses on establishing high-quality relationships with service users.
