Kickstart Community was a team of social innovators who want to give young people entering the most hostile labour market since the 1980s the opportunity to swim and not simply tread water.

Incubated by charity and social business Catch22, we brought together purposeful employers and young people for Kickstart placements with a difference.

OFFER FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

Kickstart offered 16-24 year olds on Universal Credit and at risk of long term unemployment a six months paid placement for 25 hours a week, and a salary at the National Minimum Wage or higher (age dependent). The programme closed to new applicants on 31 March 2022.

Our senior team includes figures who have built national civic organisations, such as the Raspberry Pi Foundation and The Challenge, at pace; leaders in social innovation from Catch22 and the National Citizens Service; and who have overseen national policy from Government departments and No.10 Downing Street.
